POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — Lifelong Poughkeepsie resident Elisa "Elsie" D. Scarchilli died Wednesday, May 18. She was 95.
Scarchilli retired from IBM in 1986 and continued to work at Marist College until retiring.
She was an active parishioner of Holy Trinity Church until she was 92 years old.
Scarchilli is survived by her son, Arnold Scarchilli; her daughter, Carol Riedinger; her grandchildren, David Riedinger and his partner Sarah, Michael Scarchill and his wife Michelle, Diane Salanto and her husband Phil, Anthony Scarchilli and his wife Sandi, Kim Connolly and her husband Chris and Brian Scarchilli; She also is survived by her 13 great-grandchildren, Jenay, Tiana, Tamia, Brandon, Tiffani, Alexi, Anthony Jr., Annalise, Gabriella, Madison, Mia, Dante, Luca; and her great-great-grandchildren, Terrance and Dominic.
Scarchilli was predeceased by her parents, Eugene Martell and Rose Petronella Martell; and her siblings, Sylvia Maneri, Josephine Erhard, Edward Martell, John Martell and Fredrick Martell.
Calling hours were scheduled for Friday, May 20, from 6-9 p.m. at the William G. Miller & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Church in Poughkeepsie on Saturday, May 21, at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
